It all started on July 28, 2007, the day I read an article in The Atlantic Monthly about a place called Second Life. Later that evening, I searched the Internet. Somehow, I found the names of two bodies of land in Second Life--One named Azure Islands and the other, Aloha. The scenes in the advertisements were tropical and serene. The message to me was Beautiful!--peaceful, escape, solitude--All of which I had not experienced for any length of time for quite a while. So, I went there. I signed up and I landed in the soothing, tropical blue-green seascape of Azure Islands. I sat on a park bench on a stone veranda for hours. I watched the palm trees sway, listened to the sounds of the sea waves, and watched people come and go, the sun set and rise again. During that time I discovered what I had been missing--not friends nor sensual or intellectual pleasures. I found blissful beauty, peace and solitude--all the Right Stuff for the writer soul in me! Yes! So, I started my Second Life...every night after a day of work, school, family, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.... :)

Soon after that day, again somehow, I learned of and started reading scholarly papers from Stanford University published by Bailensen and Yee. Very interesting stuff I said to myselves. Hmmm...The Proteus Effect ... And, my journey of spiritual, psychological, and social transformation began through my Second Life.

And now, today, I'm Here!. . . .Hello World! It is good to begin to see and know you through new eyes. I'm ready to write! Welcome to My World!
